Chinese Ambassador to Denmark Wang Xuefeng Meets Novo Nordisk CEO

On October 19, Chinese Ambassador to Denmark H.E. Wang Xuefeng met with Mr. Mike Doustdar, Chief Executive Officer of Novo Nordisk.

Ambassador Wang noted that Novo Nordisk has been operating in China for over three decades, growing alongside and contributing to China's economic development. China remains committed to high-standard opening-up and continues to improve its business environment, while actively addressing specific concerns raised by foreign-invested enterprises, including Novo Nordisk. Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the National Conference on Health and delivered an important speech, emphasizing the need to unswervingly following the path of health development with Chinese characteristics to ensure decisive progress in advancing the Healthy China Initiative during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). It is hoped that Novo Nordisk could seize the opportunities arising from China's development, better meet patients' healthcare needs, and achieve sound corporate growth.

Mr. Doustdar said that investing in China is investing in the future. Novo Nordisk is optimistic about the prospects for pharmaceutical innovation and industry development in China and stands ready to deepen cooperation with China, further strengthen its presence in the Chinese market, and provide better services to Chinese patients.
